Answer: Senior Recreation Manager Job Description Overview of Position The job position of the resort manager will make sure that the person manages budget, manages supplies, responds to the needs of consumers and hires as well as coordinates employees (Brown and Trevio 2014). The senior recreation manager will be responsible for managing every segment of the resort that will include housekeeping, human resources, lodging as well as food and beverage management along with offering exceptional consumer services. The individual will be in charge of staff, promotions, consumer service and maintaining quality control (Baker 2016). The senior resort manager will also have the responsibility of ensuring positive consumer experiences through maintaining superior quality facilities. The individual will schedule and conduct employee meetings for constantly communicating with the employees along with making sure that all the departments are addressing standards of resort. Job Duties Resort managers will ensure positive consumer experience though maintaining superior quality services and facilities that will help in solving consumer issues. Developing interesting and informative welcome package based on the resort guidelines for every brand operating within resort. Monitoring operational, quality and consumer related elements necessary in running the resort along with organizing all the resort staff and make sure that high standards that is expected by the resort (Loughlin et al. 2013). Proper communication is made sure to deal with all the consumer issues to encompass occupancy levels, process reviews to be passed along with consulting with the department managers of any resort operational areas that needs immediate attention. Develop a set-up schedule for the companys team to help in maintaining focus, efficient time management and increase resort familiarization. Job Abilities and Skills Active listening in order to give total attention to the queries of its employees and consumers Time management and monitoring abilities in order to assess self-performance to make improvements or take corrective action Knowledge of consumer and personal service that will include evaluation of consumer needs, addressing services quality standards and consumer satisfaction evaluation Analytical thinking capability that requires evaluating information and employing logic for dealing with work based problems Innovation capability is needed as the job involves creativity ad alternative thinking for developing fresh ideas for dealing with operations of the resort (Role 2013). Capability to motivate and lead employees at the time of team working Capability to be decisive and work within demanding operational situations within stressful environment Qualifications Should have superior written and oral communication, judgment and leadership skills Should exhibit enthusiasm and dedication for work along with having the capability to develop initiatives through every levels of management Management education degree of four years is required. Management level experience for two years is required in the field of operations and superior guest service in resorts. Knowledge on computer especially on the Microsoft products along with the capability to acquire additional computer applications those are departmentally specific to the resort.
